backWinkler launches system approved heated hoses with EU-type examination certificate. Winkler has now a complete ATEX product portfolio along with the already established system-certified analysis lines and heating jackets.
For these hoses an extensive documentation for the explosion protection document in accordance with §6 para. 9 of the German Ordinance on Hazardous Materials (GefStoffV) and the up-to-date EU-type examination certificate is available. An additional advantage is the omission of the acceptance on site. The heated hoses can be installed immediatly following the instruction for installation and the operation manual.
More Information about the new series is available here.
backSystem certified ATEX products from Winkler have been successful on the market for several years. They safely and reliably deliver the heating power necessary for an optimal process flow in customer systems requiring obligatory monitoring. Winkler is now once again sustainably improving the safety of ATEX systems. Applications up to SIL3 can be realised using flexible heating devices with immediate effect. ATEX-relevant temperature measurement with PT100 sensors and the appropriate, associated temperature evaluation units (controllers / limiters) from Jumo make this possible. Temperature measurement from the sensor through to evaluation is performed by means of the JUMO safetyM STB/STW Ex 701155 electronic safety and temperature monitor / limiter. A specialist joint article on this from Winkler and Jumo has been published in the latest JUMO customer magazine "sensors + automation" 02/2016.
backWinkler sponsored the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences team at the Shell Eco-marathon in London, with money and payments in kind. Shell Eco-marathon is the world’s largest energy efficiency race and takes place every year in Europe, America and Asia. The aim is to construct (and race) a vehicle that can cover a certain distance with as little fuel as possible. Winkler’s heating cables and heating foils brought major vehicle components to operating temperature prior to the start of the race, thus significantly contributing to the team’s success. The Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences team car achieved an equivalent of 466.9 km per litre of fuel, landing them in 17th place, which was a good result. Congratulations from everyone here at Winkler!
backThe new, silicone-based insulation material SXF has superior technical properties compared to its predecessor (SHF):
We will be happy to make you a quotation for water jet-cut parts and assemblies made from these parts. The new material SXF is now available. For more information, contact sales@winkler.eu.
backThe absence of PWIS (Paint-Wetting Impairment Substances) allows these heating jackets to be used in adhesive and coating technology for heating cylindrical geometries, such as pipe sections, valves, pumps etc. up to a temperature of 120 °C (+/- 1 °C). Adhesives, sealants, paints etc. are therefore always kept at the ideal processing temperature. The PWIS-free heating jackets from Winkler are manufactured robustly with an outer jacket made of stainless steel and therefore protected against welding spatter and mechanical influences. The integrated heating element is of protection class 1. A new structure and the use of new materials guarantees homogeneous heat distribution. Installation is remarkably quick and easy. A sensor for external control is already installed, but integrated controllers are also optionally available.
backThe gas-bottle heaters in the ATEX version are a special version of the system-certified heating jackets made by Winkler and can be used immediately and without any further acceptance tests – naturally under the provision that they are operated according to regulations – for heating pressurized-gas cylinders. This also applies for applications in outdoor areas – the heated gas cylinders can be used in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU and the national pressure-vessel regulations / industrial-safety regulations in zones 1 / 2 (gas) and 21 / 22 (dust) in ambient temperatures ranging from -40°C to + 60°C.The ATEX gas-cylinder heaters adapt perfectly to the shape and contours of the gas cylinder and are easy to handle.Standard sizes for 10L and 50L cylinders are available from stock.
